Hossein moved to the Netherlands with his family in 1988. In 1998, he was accepted into the drama school in Utrecht. After graduating in 2002, he performed with various theater companies, such as Het Syndicaat, DNA, and Aluin. In the Dutch film and TV industry, he is most known for his roles in Kleine Pauze and Klein Holland, directed by Johan Timmers. The last role in which he appeared on Dutch television was in the family series Het Gordijnpaleis van Ollie Hartmoed, directed by Norbert ter Hall. In 2011, Hossein decided to move to Los Angeles (Hollywood), where he still lives and works. He has appeared in series such as NCIS, American Crime Story, The L Word: Generation Q, and the Star Wars mini-series Obi-Wan Kenobi. On stage, he recently played Lopakhin in Chekhov's The Cherry Orchard. Hossein is fluent in English, Dutch, and Farsi, and he also speaks Spanish quite well.
