Ingrid Willemse

Geldrop

While Ingrid enjoyed a successful career as an international photo model and mannequin since the age of 14, she also collaborated with her "second father" Willem de Ridder (Fluxus, Radio Art Foundation) on many radio plays and theatrical performances in the Netherlands and abroad, including for the Holland Festival. Together with de Ridder, she hosted the successful radio program "Hallo met Ingrid" (Radio100, Amsterdam). She posed for shoots with leading photographers. After being discovered by Hans Kemna during a stage improvisation and starting to act, she quickly gained diverse roles in various films and single plays. She worked with directors such as Pim de la Parra (including "Let's the Music Dance" in 1990), Paul Ruven, Karim Traïdia, Eddy Terstall, and with Theo van Gogh in his Golden Calf-winning film "In het belang van de staat". On television, Ingrid played Maroesja, a recurring character in the popular sitcom "Oppassen!!" directed by Nico Knapper (VARA). She appeared in numerous television drama series, including "Spijkerhoek", "Unit 13", "Luifel & Luifel", "Najib en Julia", "Medea", and "Spoorloos Verdwenen".

After a few years abroad (Los Angeles and Lisbon), Willemse is now permanently back in the Netherlands and runs her own communication company. However, the acting bug still runs through her veins, she picked it up.
