Judy Lijdsman

Judy studied dance and drama at Codarts (Rotterdam), ArtEZ (Arnhem) and Theater School De Trap (Amsterdam). In the field of acting, Judy also attended various workshops, both at home and abroad.

She danced for six years with dance company De Stilte and since 2009 she’s worked as a freelancer in theaters and in films and TV. Judy also makes her own (solo) performances. Some of her notable work has been with FC Bergman, De Veenfabriek, Likeminds, De Onderneming and Studio Salix and the Dutch National Opera. During these times she’s worked with Ivo van Hove and Simon McBurney. Her work has been part of a number of festivals, including Festival d'Aix-en-Provence, Oerol, Amsterdam Fringe Festival, Bosch Parade and The Amsterdams Kleinkunst Festival. On television she can be seen in the series Flikken Maastricht, Dokter Tinus and the VPRO series The Spectacular and in commercials for IKEA and ANWB, among others. As a 'tram ambassador' she was the comical face of the campaign for Tram22 in Utrecht.

Judy is also a voice over artist and can be heard weekly at Blendle Audio. She has a recording studio at home for voice work.
