Susanne Häusler

Berlijn 1955

Susanne started her acting career being part of a theater collective in Berlin. Her first theater production was Anxiety and Misery in the Third Reich by Berthold Brecht. After being part of the collective for three years she moved to Munich, where she studied acting at the Otto-Falckenberg-School. At the end of her studies, she landed her first leading role in a television-film and worked in two different theaters in Munich. Following that, Susanne was a member of various theater ensembles (Staatstheater Kassel, The Nationaltheater Mannheim and the Schauspielhaus Zurich) for over sixteen years. At the Schauspielhaus Zurich she also played a large number of roles - in both classical and modern repertoire. She’s been going back and forth between The Hague and Germany for work for thirty years now. On top of her own acting work, she also trains Dutch actors who want to act in German.
